This came out really great.

I liked the nautical theme on these, so decided to put Sodalite cabochons in them.

Well, there were a number of accidents with this one, including one drill point that was so off course I was wondering what the heck I was thinking, and the inlay points aren’t exactly even. Certainly not what I had hoped, even for it being the first one.

Working on getting sizes consistent, including thickness. These two came out pretty well, even though the back edges are a little uneven.

No, I’m fine. No injuries or anything close. No accidents, etc. However I’ve been away from the machine for most of the day because of thunderstorms. Just something about using an electrical device that coats your hands with water and such that makes me a little nervous around incredibly high voltage discharges.

This one was a little smaller than I wanted. Was aiming for 3.5mm. It’s also not domed. I realized that having flat top opals will work much better for the inlay work than domed ones. We’ll see if that holds true and which type I end up using. The domed ones may show off color a bit more.

Been taking a break today and yesterday to relax and enjoy the weekend. Please remember those who died for our freedom. Memorial Day isn’t about BBQ’s, it’s about sacrifice.
